Senior Buyer: Personally, I think to become a senior buyer is a good choice for me. First of all, to become a senior buyer needs to know the market. Senior buyer helps the costumer to purchase a product and help them to buy the products that suit them. Also, they need to consider price, quality, availability, reliability and technical support. They need to find the same product in different markets and compare them, finally find the best one. In order to be a capable senior buyer, professional knowledge is very important. As far as know, to become a senior buyer needs to study economics. Obviously, my major is economy and it have a strong connection with this job. Moreover, to study economics can use data to analyze what the customer really what and find a way to get more benefit for both of us. However, I think the difference between my major and the job is senior buyer needs to know customers’ psychology. So, I think in order to become a senior buyer, I need to study market psychology. Through the “payscale” website, I knew that a senior buyer’s annual income is between $65,200-$70,000. For me, I think this annual income is optimistic. Moreover, education and experience are very important for this job. Most of the businesses require applicants to have a bachelors degree. Additionally, a degree in business, finance or supply management will also affect the level of wages. In my opinion, I think to do this work satisfaction is more important than salary. Because, when I find a product that can make the company and consumer satisfied, they will be very happy at me and I will feel more motivated to work, looking forward to receiving another reward.

Design Manager: For me, I think Design Manager is a good fit for me. First of all, It have a few connection with my major economics. Also, design manager can work in a variety of fields. For example , design manager can work for real estate developers or a wed design company. Personally, I love a job that can give me multiple choices. Moreover, I think this job have some connection with economics. Design managers generally work with buyers and they also meet with vendors to maximize revenue opportunities. So, I think this part is very similar with what I learned in economy class. However, the Design manager always needs to create reports and presentations. Also, they need to have great written and verbal communication skill. This part is very different with my major. The salary of a Design manager is very high, the salary is annually between $75,000-81,000. To be honest, it is not easy to become a design manager. A design manager need to have a solid knowledge of designs programs and standards within their industries. Additionally, they need to have at least a bachelor’s degree. Usually, the work experience is more important than specialized degree in this area. Personally, I think to be a design manager, the salary is more important than satisfaction. Because, when their project is behind their schedule, they need to work at weekends or holidays.
