Hello,everyone! I am glad to see you in online 1901 course. My name is Hu Bihan and my English name is Grace. I come from Shanghai, China. Shanghai is really a beautiful and international city with a lot of delicious traditional Chinese food like xiaolong, rice dumplings, and so on. Thus, I think if you come to Shanghai, this amazing place will leave a deep impression on you. Furthermore, I live with my parents and they are very kind. My father is a university professor and my mother is an accountant. They really teach me a lot not only about the principles of the life in many different aspects such as relationships with other people, courage, and so on but also some study methods to help me study better and get higher mark. In addition, I have many interests such as traveling, listening to the music, watching movies, and etc. I really enjoy going to the concert and theater with my friends or parents. It makes me feel happy and promote the friendship with my friends and relationship with my parents. When I was young, I used to play the Guzhen, a traditional Chinese musical instrument, and it really let me feel relax. I also find many friends who have the same interest as me through Guzhen. If I have the chance, I can play the Guzhen for you.
I studied in the Middle School Affiliated to ECUST and my life in high school really gave me many unforgettable memories. Furthermore, my high school was really beautiful and big. The students can play the basketball and football in such big playground. And there were many gardens with beautiful decorations and flowers. In the break time, we can have a rest in such nice place and it can also help us to forget many troubles from the study. In my school, I met many kind and friendly classmates and excellent teachers. They not only taught us the knowledge but also told us some principles and their own experiences. I also built deep relationships with my teachers and we can share the secrets to each other like friends. I could not forget that exciting trip that I go to the Wuzhen, a small town in China, with my classmates and teachers. The only transportation in that small town was boat. Therefore, we enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious local food on the boat. That was really a novel experience for me. Furthermore, the local people are really hospitable and enthusiastic so that we ate a lot of things and we experienced how to row the boat. During the trip, I also have a chat with my friends. We share the secrets and funny things to each other. We really have a nice trip in Wuzhen.
I will study in the Ohio State University. And I have three reasons for why I choose OSU. First of all, OSU has strong academic atmosphere and study resources. As we all know, OSU have many excellent and professional professors and many chances. In addition, the students in the OSU pay a lot of attention on their study. That simulate me to study harder. Therefore, I think I can receive the best education in OSU and to become a better person. Secondly, the OSU provides many gyms which is one of the biggest gyms in USA for students to do exercise. I think it is really good for our health. Thirdly, the location and the climate of the OSU is really convenient and comfortable for students, especially for me. I just need to take the plane to get to the school and I do not need to take the trains. In addition, the climate in Columbus is similar to the climate in Shanghai. Thus, I can adapt the environment and climate soon. I plan to study the economics because when I was in high school, my teacher told us some basic knowledge of economics and I interested in this part so that I want to have further study in the university. Furthermore, the OSU have strong academic resources on this major. Thus, I think I can have a good atmosphere to study the economics. That’s all about myself and I hope to build the friendship with you. Thank you.
