Working with Ohio At Home and Medforall has been a life changing experience and through this Scholars Program we are seeking to help introduce students in health-related academic programs to the history and current obstacles impacting the experience of disability as they gain experience with person-centered care through directly supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
More information about the internship program can be found on Ohio At Home’s website: https://ohioathome.com/internship

Student-Alumni Council (SAC) is a student organization here at Ohio State. Our mission is to advance The Ohio State University through programs that enhance the student experience, promote student-alumni interaction, establish a spirit of loyalty to the university, and cultivate relationships between students: past, present, and future. Every year, SAC awards a total of $1000 in scholarships to Ohio State students of all backgrounds and experiences that embody our mission.
All students who will be attending any Ohio State campus for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters (excluding incoming freshmen) are eligible to apply. The last day to apply for the scholarship is January 30, 2022 at 11:59 pm. While the deadline is still a few months away, I would encourage students to submit their application sooner rather than later!

The Anne Casto/Susan White Scholarship for LGBTQ Students in Healthcare – $2,000
Scarlet & Gay: The OSU LGBTQ Alumni Society – Scholarship Program
Scarlet & Gay: The OSU LGBTQ Alumni Society, is dedicated to making studying at The Ohio State University a financial reality for more LGBTQ students and their allies. We offer nine scholarships to undergraduate students, including one that is dedicated to a student beginning their education at OSU for the 2021-2022 school year. Additional scholarships exist for LGBTQ students who plan to study music, who have financial need, who have worked in the HIV/ AIDS community, or who are living with HIV/AIDS. The scholarships range from $2,000 – $2,500 each and will be awarded to students who have demonstrated involvement and dedication to the LGBTQ community.
NEW THIS YEAR: For our 30th anniversary, in recognition of the need to address structural racism and promote social justice, the Board of Governors of Scarlet and Gay voted to donate the proceeds from this year’s fundraiser to support our Scarlet and Gay Scholarship for Queer People of Color (QPOC). We will award 8 scholarships at $2,500 each ($20,000 total).
Special thanks to the College of Social Work’s LGBTQ+ Committee for its coordinated effort to sponsor two QPOC scholarships.
