The Student Wellness Center is currently recruiting volunteers for Body Project, Buckeye PAL, Scarlet and Gray Financial Coaching, Wellness Ambassadors, and Wellness Coaching! This is an opportunity to learn more about the Nine Dimensions of Wellness and promote wellness to your peers, learn about topics important to college students’ health and well-being, and gain valuable experiences. Any interested student should complete the Student Wellness Center Volunteer Application by January 30, 2022. No experience is necessary; all selected students will receive training! OSU College of Medicine – ASPIRE Medical Research Program accepting applications
Ohio State University College of Medicine ASPIRE Medical Research, is now accepting applications for our 5th cohort of ASPIRE Scholars.
The mission of the ASPIRE Medical Research Program is to support current Ohio State undergraduate students who have been historically underrepresented and historically excluded from the health sciences, with mentorship, research experience in world-class laboratories, personal and academic support, in order to prepare them for advanced education and careers as health-care providers.
Our year-long, longitudinal program is open to rising sophomores (current freshmen), sophomores, and juniors.
We encourage applications from:
-Students from groups historically excluded in medicine and biomedical sciences: African-American or Black, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander
-Students with disabilities, defined as those with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities
-Students from economically and/or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds
-First generation college students
-Queer, LGBTQIA, Transgender/Gender Non-Conforming
-Others whose backgrounds and experiences would bring diversity to the field

Scholarship: Student-Alumni Council Scholarship Opportunity
Student-Alumni Council (SAC) is a student organization here at Ohio State. Our mission is to advance The Ohio State University through programs that enhance the student experience, promote student-alumni interaction, establish a spirit of loyalty to the university, and cultivate relationships between students: past, present, and future. Every year, SAC awards a total of $1000 in scholarships to Ohio State students of all backgrounds and experiences that embody our mission.
All students who will be attending any Ohio State campus for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters (excluding incoming freshmen) are eligible to apply. The last day to apply for the scholarship is January 30, 2022 at 11:59 pm. While the deadline is still a few months away, I would encourage students to submit their application sooner rather than later!
