Buckeye Link Mentor Job Posting

The Buckeye Link Mentor team, comprised of 30+ student employees, helps students and families take care of the business of being a Buckeye. Student employees answer common questions related to admissions, basic financial aid, and accounts and billing from a student’s perspective while providing excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, or via email.

Mentors also greet students and guests in the Student Academic Services Building lobby; provide information and make referrals to other campus offices as appropriate; guide prospective and current students and their families through the online Buckeye Link system; assist with review and intake of documents and select correspondence; document student contacts and follow up as necessary; assist with outreach; provide support to staff with special projects as needed.

Training will be provided in-person and will consist of a combination of in-person, remote, and self-paced modules. Due to the intensive training required, candidates should be available to work between 30-38 hours per week in the summer.

This is a Federal Work-Study eligible job and can be filled by a non-FWS student. This position is required to work in-person; however, after the training period, there is some flexibility to work remotely on occasion/as needed.
