Registered student organizations
Registered student organizations with an active status through the Office of Student Life and in good standing may use the university’s name as a standalone graphic and/or in conjunction with their organization’s name in the following manner:
- “Student Group Name” at The Ohio State University
- “Student Group Name” at Ohio State
Registered student organizations may also design their own logos utilizing Ohio State’s brand colors of scarlet and gray and/or the non-athletic buckeye leaf graphic, but not the Block O. They also may not use a capital O in any typeface that resembles the Block O.
College-sponsored student organizations
College-sponsored student organizations may use the college’s logo with review and permission by the college’s marketing and communications team and Trademark and Licensing. All uses of Ohio State trademarks need to comply with the logo usage guidelines on this site and be reviewed via brandcenter@osu.edu.
Voluntary student organizations
Voluntary student organizations (those not registered through the Office of Student Life) may not use university trademarks, logos or name but they may design their own group logos employing Ohio State scarlet and gray colors.
