Social Media is a great way to reach our various audiences outside of traditional communications. There are several types of social media accounts at Ohio State.
Enterprise Accounts
These are official, university-recognized accounts that represent units/colleges/schools and leadership. The Ohio State University Social Media Policy applies to these accounts. Think of these as speaking on behalf of the university through your unit or leader.
HRS social media channels are enterprise accounts. Find them listed in the navigation menu to the left. We currently have handles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. We encourage you to follow and interact with us so we can support each other’s growth and engagement.
Division Accounts
Many of our divisions have active accounts. To view our division accounts, please visit Division Social Accounts.
Individual Professional Accounts
As a faculty or staff member, you may have a public, professional account. The University Social Media Policy does not apply; however, you need to include a statement that indicates that “your thoughts are your own” and do not represent the university.
Student Group Accounts
Social media for officially recognized student groups is handled through the Office of Student Life and its applicable policy.
