Hi, my name is Colleen Hoynes and I graduated from Highland high school in Medina, Ohio. I’m so excited to enter the next chapter of my life at The Ohio State University.
In high school I was a true believer in staying busy. I played volleyball all year round and also ran track. These two sports helped me become accustomed to managing my time and getting my school work done. On top of athletics I also volunteered through different clubs in my school. I was a peer mentor for elementary students, Student Council Vice President, a member of NHS, a member of the yearbook staff and the editor of the school newspaper. I loved getting involved in many different groups and I can’t wait to see what groups interest me this fall!
I am currently undecided in what I want to major in. I enjoy math and science and am leaning toward something in that genre of study. I hope to encounter many different experiences this year in order to help me decide what I want to study. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me here. Go Bucks!
