U.S. Travel Association’s Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO) 2024 Student Volunteer Opportunities
The Hospitality Management Program at The Ohio State University, in collaboration with the U.S. Travel Association’s Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO), Experience Columbus, and our Hospitality Management Advisory Board, is excited to offer an exclusive volunteer experience for students.

Volunteer Roles
- Greeter:
- Assist conference attendees with directions and information.
- Ensure smooth seating during keynote addresses.
- Be available throughout the day between sessions.
- Room Monitor:
- Ensure sessions run smoothly and provide support to speakers and moderators.
- Address any needs within the breakout session room.
- Stay in the assigned room for the whole session.
- Be approachable and assertive to manage the room effectively.
Commitment
- Approximately 10 hours of volunteer time during the three-day event.
- Short training session before the conference to ensure a successful experience.
- Available from August 12-13, 2024.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Open to current students (all degree levels) and recent graduates who are not yet employed.
Volunteer Policy Agreements:
- Fulfill assigned shifts and adhere to the conference policies and guidelines.
- Arrive on time, be prepared, and communicate effectively.
- Notify the volunteer coordinator if any issues arise.
