Capturing my own personality seemed a bit funny to me, especially since it included blowing bubbles and taking pictures of it in the middle of an event on South Oval. I am glad my roommate was willing to take a plethora of photos trying to capture a few bubbles because I was left without a partner. It was more difficult than we thought it would be to catch some shiny spheres in a photograph, but it was silly and that is why I liked it. Of course people could see me having a bubble blowing photo shoot, but I did not mind it. I came up with the idea when I was given a free bottle of suds and immediately opened it with childlike enthusiasm. It was a beautiful day and I must say my outfit was actually put together as if I was ready to take this picture. I wanted to show the whimsical side of my personality, the side that loves to be dorky no matter who is around. I may be wearing lipstick and a statement necklace, and I may be on my way to study calculus, but I would never pass up the opportunity to make myself look funny as long as it means I am enjoying myself. I try to look at things in a positive light and try to soak up as much joy out of any experience I can. I have no pride that makes me think I need to look cool at all times, I would rather goof off and have a laugh about it later.
My name is Alexandra Hornung. I am from Brunswick, Ohio. I am a chemistry major with future plans that involve going into medicine. I am also in Arts Scholars. I am a singer and a pianist. I was in musicals and choirs in high school and had many different paintings and drawings put into art shows there. I love art, but I have a passion for learning about sciences, specifically chemistry and biology. I strive to do well academically in hopes of achieving my dream of becoming a psychiatrist.
