Making our way to Choluteca, Honduras was an exciting journey. Meeting at the airport at 4 am led a lot of us to buy some well deserved coffee during our layover in Atlanta. We then flew into Tegucigalpa and continued our travels on land to Choluteca in a 3 hour bus ride. Once we arrived at our hotel, we unloaded and went to take our donated supplies to the nursing school up the street. We were welcomed by Angie and Larry who built the school and made it what it is today. We enjoyed a wonderful homemade dinner and prepared our belongings for our first clinic day. After a long day of travel, we all went to bed early excited for this new and humbling experience.
We depart for Choluteca, Honduras Thursday March 5, 2020. We will use this site to share our experiences and photos with the College of Nursing faculty and staff, friends and families. ENJOY!
