About Me
My name is Katie Hogan and I am an 18 year girl old from Chicago, IL. I grew up in a small neighborhood called Evergreen Park, where I have lived my entire life. My faith and values are in response largely to my Catholic upbringing, attending a private, catholic school throughout my entire childhood. Currently, I am a first year Pre-Nursing student and member of the Mount Leadership Scholars Society at The Ohio State University. As I begin my college experience, the opportunities ahead of me are endless. I intend to join clubs and committees that will expand and nourish my interests. While I am still figuring out my path, some goals that I have are to volunteer within Mount, play intramural sports, and join Buck-I-Serve, a mission-oriented group on campus that travels to help the global community through service. My leadership skills were born in high school as a member of student council and participation in student ambassador officers, as well as serving on the committee for Relay for Life. My interests in athletics, competing on varsity and club volleyball teams, have also contributed to my leadership style and ability to work well in a team. I hope to continue my successes as a dedicated and involved student during my time at Ohio State. I am excited at the possibility to prove myself on the road to becoming a compassionate, caring, and capable nurse.
