G.O.A.L.S.

I plan to fulfill Global Awareness by taking classes that go in depth on country’s and their different cultures and backgrounds across the globe. I also plan to apply for programs that specialize in study abroad. Studying abroad allows be to interact with those how come from a specific background and in that interaction I would br able to learn more about their culture and traditions. This could also be a chance for me to see how diverse the world is.

I can fulfill Original Inquiry by taking challenging classes. Ones that interest but also aid me in my knowledge long term so I can go to medical school as prepared as I can be. Through these classes, I can network and look for opportunities where I can so research and get insight on certain topics and discussions that are currently held. While I’m in research, I also plan to participate in projects that pertain to my interest and major as well.

As a neuroscience major, the classes that are required to be taken are rigorous. These classes will increase my knowledge in the class as well and teach me skills and lessons to apply outside of class too. Along with my major, I am on a pre-med track as well which also requires me to take many science classes and through those classes I can prepare myself to take the entrance exam to get into medical school as well as prepare me for for the rigor that is in medical school.

Throughout the course of my four years here at The Ohio State University I plan  take the opportunities to become a mentor as well as a tutor. This will allow me to help others and guide them in the right direction in whatever they would need help in. I also plan to become a Resident Assistant and I could be in the position to lead whatever would go on in the group of residents that I am supposed to look out for.

Since I am on a pre-med track, volunteering will be a main focus of mine to get into medical school aside from having good grades. I would like to volunteer at the hospital and this would let me help out patients that are recovering or ill ; I could also help out the staff and offer any assistance that is needed. I also plan to shadow physicians and get insight on how things operate on their side of the spectrum and see how I could assure any patients that I get to care for in the future receive the best of it.
