At the History Praxis Lab, students will learn the techniques of historical research and conduct supervised research on Native American and African American civic engagement, citizenship, voting, and civil rights activism 1780-1960.

The History Praxis Lab is a three-year initiative funded by a Mellon-Foundation Civic Engagement/Higher Learning Grant.

This past summer 2024, 17 students from Ohio State, Case Western Reserve University, and the University of Alaska immersed themselves in a 4-week long research workshop, packed with research trips to historical sites and archives across Central, NW and SE Ohio.
