Week 3’s Reflection

Week 3’s Productivity Goal

Looking back, Week 3 was one of my busier and more packed weeks of the semester so far.  I had my usual load of homework with a few extra assignment thrown into the mix, and also had to pick up unexpected shifts at work when my coworkers were sick or had emergencies and couldn’t be there.

However, I was able to complete almost all of my goals on time by sacrificing some of my free time and sleep time.  The only goal for the week I didn’t achieve on the day I initially planned for was to start my math homework on Thursday.  As previously mentioned, I was had to unexpectedly pick up a 4 hour shift at work that kept me from starting my assignment until the next day.

Week 3’s Professional Goal

Growing up a child of the 2000’s the internet has always been relevant in my life.  This has only continued to become more true with time.  The strategy I chose for this week was titled “Clean Up Your Internet Image”.  This tip included strategies to make your online image something positive and helpful in an eventual job search.  While my social media presence is not primarily for professional use, I still wouldn’t want them to have a negative effect on my career.  I made sure to check my settings to make sure my accounts were all set on private and anything that could be seen without my permission was things I was okay with future recruiters seeing.

I also did a quick google search of myself to make sure that there was nothing else about me that could reflect poorly of me in the eyes of a potential employer.  The only thing that comes up are my social media pages and a picture of me on my high school’s website, no things that could hurt me in the future, and I would like to continue to keep it that way.
