Imagined Journey

SUMMARY

The intent behind this project was to dig deeper into our original journey, and take out the feelings and meanings behind it all. This would result in any form of design that could communicate the story and message behind it in a clear, yet abstract way. We were also instructed that we needed to have one other sensory factor that wasn’t sight integrated in the project somehow. As I decided to make the children’s book, I added textures that harmonized with the mood on each of the pages. The combination of the message, design and color theory made my book suitable for children to understand a comfort zone.

VISUALS

REFLECTION

I began this project with the idea of creating a video to showcase my thoughts. I was thinking this was my only option, when it wasn’t. I felt stuck with the thought of a video and I wasn’t satisfied with the idea of it, so I began the brainstorming process all over again. This ideation process led me to an idea that I felt comfortable and more confident about. This project showed me how important it is to experiment with multiple ideas before you make up your mind on the final product. This allowed me to explore different ideas, color schemes and even material research.
