Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. G.O.A.L.S.

The Honors & Scholars programs at Ohio State have done a lot to help me be successful so far in my college career. They have helped show me diversity and have helped me really get involved in the community here at Ohio State. One of the main G.O.A.L.S. that I am attempting to complete is that I want to continue my Leadership Development. I think the Honors & Scholars program here at Ohio State can greatly help me with this goal. As a member of Mount Leadership Society, I get many awesome opportunities to become a better leader and really get involved. Not only do I have to study, but I also get to do extra activities outside of the classroom. I have already gotten to help out with a haunted house at a nearby youth center and helped with cleaning up a park. I also will get many more great opportunities such as helping with legacy week and being the marketing and motivation coordinator for Team Health. The Honors & Scholars program will definitely be a large part in helping me continue to develop as a leader.

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.   For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. Artifacts

This is me and the committee I am a part of, Member D. This committee is a part of Mount Leadership Scholars. We do a lot of events throughout the year, including building a float for the homecoming parade. While building the float, I got to create and nurture relationships. It was an awesome experience and took a lot of team work. I also got to ride in the float as Lord Licorice.mount float

About Me

Hello, I am CJ Higbea and I am a first year in Mount. I am from northwest Ohio. I am currently planning on majoring in athletic training and hope to attend physical therapy school after.  I was valedictorian of my high school, as well as being a wrestler and cross country runner.
