About Me

My name is Brad Herndon and I am a freshman from Cincinnati, Ohio, studying Finance and Business Analytics at Ohio State, but beyond my major I’m also interested in statistics, economics, consulting, psychology and politics. I have a sister who is a senior in high school and a brother who is a senior at Northwestern University. Both of my parents graduated from Virginia Tech and grew up just outside of Washington D.C. My first year of college has been about finding the best fit for me and where I should become involved at Ohio State. I joined both Business Scholars and Alpha Kappa Psi where I’m surrounded by successful, intelligent, caring and hard-working people who have honestly pushed me to be greater for myself and for the people around me. I am passionate about service, especially service centered around education and underprivileged youth, so I  am volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club, acting as a tutor and a mentor for the students. Another organization I am heavily involved in is Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations and in one year, I will be studying business abroad in Strasbourg, France working towards becoming a conscious global citizen. Beyond school, some of my hobbies include playing sports with friends, exploring cities and parks, working out, watching movies and sports, reading and traveling. Some words that I believe truly describe me are passionate, motivated, friendly, and teachable. My future aspirations include working for a company that allows me to travel and experience the world, yet also being work that I love. I am excited for the next four years of my life at Ohio State and I cannot wait to see the opportunities they hold.
