  1. In a joint venture with the Office of Compliance and Integrity, OHR was able to migrate case management processing and reporting from an Access database to a cloud-based full-featured solution, Navex Global Case Management. Now OHR and the Medical Center HR departments are able to share information, coordinate follow up investigations and produce automated combined reports. On a broader scale, university-wide case reporting has been streamlined. Manual data entry and data consolidation has been eliminated. This project has fostered improved communications between case management teams and will improve efficiency as contact data is more easily accessible all while securing private and protected information.

    Congratulations to the team members:

    Chris Glaros – OUCI
Kathleen Rains – OUCI (and project manager)
Kristi Kuhbander – OHR Labor Relations
Jonathan Parry – Medical Center HR
    Scott Cantor – OCIO
    Darryl Jordan – OCIO
    Mardene Kelley – OCIO
    Eoin Ruth – OCIO

This project was successfully deployed under a very tight timeline thanks to the strong commitment from each team member! Kathleen Rains did a fabulous job of pulling all of the requirements from the existing case management processes across campus into a single solid configuration. Kristi and Jonathan spent countless hours developing the process, documenting the solution, training new users and keeping up with their ‘day’ jobs. Kudos to you!!

  2. The Online Pledging for Bucks for Charity project has come to a close. Close to 2,500 pledges were electronically uploaded to PeopleSoft. While this process not only increased the accuracy of payroll deduction information, it also saved Ohio State University $7k in printing personalized pledge forms and approximately $2,100 – $6,250 savings by avoiding manual entry. The calculation is an average 1 – 3 minutes to manually input data for each deduction (or 42 – 125 FTE hours) * $50/hour. This $9k to $12k savings will be realized every year going forward. The team will ramp back up in February to prepare for the 2015 campaign where we expect to accommodate donors with the option to use credit cards.

    Congratulations to the team members:

    Gary Clark – OCIO Security
    Ricky Gilbert – OHR Technology
Michele Bondurant – OHR Special Events
    Scott Cantor – OCIO
    Mary Dailey – Payroll
    Lyndsay Greer – OHR Technology
    Missy Gorman – OCIO
    Ajit Kapoor – OCIO
    Israt Herminghuysen – OCIO
    Peter McMeen – OHR Technology
