It can be very hard for a college freshman to know how to make it through her first bout of final exams. Here are some tips from me:
- Eat A LOT. Sustenance is important, papers and and tests can be very draining. I’ve been eating 4 or 5 meals a day to keep up my strength. This is also a great method to use up leftover swipes and dining dollars.
- Keep up your good karma. Along with it being the season of giving, being nice to others will also boost your karma and help you out with your grades. (even if you don’t believe in karma, a this point, you’ll try anything)
- Accept that you just will not have a regular sleep cycle. I’ve trained my body to think that 3am is 9pm, allotting for extra study time.
- Use a reward system. Every time you kind of accomplish something, let yourself rejuvenate by watching Star Trek: Voyager on Netflix, this will motivate you to get those assignments done!
- Finally (pun 100% intended), remember that grades don’t define your life. If you do badly in a class, THAT’S OKAY. It’s literally not the end of the world and crying/stressing only helps you to have break outs, making the situation even grimmer.
