OSU Mens Basketball

I have the privilege of working in the Mens Basketball office at the Schottenstein Center.  While working, I take phone calls and run errands for the coaches.  During my time working there I have had the opportunity to get to know the coaches and establish relationships with them and other people in different offices.  This picture is a name tag from Thad Matta’s Dinner, where I helped work and had the opportunity to meet former players and managers.  I am very excited to be working for the Men’s basketball department and cannot wait to make more memories and long lasting relationships.

About Me

Hello! My name is img_4906Sarah Henry and I am a first year student in the exploration program.  My major is undecided, however I would like to follow a pre-medicine track and obtain a minor in business.  In addition, I am in the International Affairs honors program.  I believe the health professionals I have come into contact with have helped influence my interest in the health science fields.  I have a passion for helping others and enjoy learning about the human body.  My experiences in my business class in high school has also influenced me greatly.  Between traveling on family vacations and my father’s business trips around the world; I have become greatly interest in learning about other cultures and exploring different parts of world.  I hope to be able to participate in the study abroad program that Ohio State offers to it’s students.

I am from Urbana, Ohio and graduated from Graham High School.  Before attending Graham, I attended White Plains Elementary School in Anniston, Alabama from kindergarten to first grade.  While at Graham, I have become involved in various organizations such as Students Making a Difference (SMD), National Honors Society (NHS), Student Council, and Business Professionals of America (BPA).  I was in Business Professionals of America my junior and senior year and competed in two events: Excel Spreadsheets and Small Business Management team.  My junior year I made it to state in Excel Spreadsheets and placed in the top 10.  My senior year, my Small Business Management team placed second at state and competed at the National level in Boston, Massachusetts.  In addition to these organizations, I enjoyed being apart of the cross country, basketball, and track teams.  Although I can not continue my love for basketball on the court, I have been fortunate enough to obtain a job working in The Ohio State Men’s Basketball office.

I am excited to be attending The Ohio State University.  The sense of community, numerous learning opportunities, student organizations, and excellent courses offered at Ohio State  allow me to explore and discover who I am while making the most out of my college experience.  I have set goals and am challenging myself in new ways.  I am excited to be a buckeye and look forward to the growth, connections, and memories made that will make up my experience while at The Ohio State University.  Go Bucks!
