Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. G.O.A.L.S.

  • Global Awareness: I am increasing my global awareness by creating relationships with fellow students and listening to stories and customs about all of their different cultures and experiences. I also plan to go on either a May study abroad trip or participate in an international service project through buckeye serve or a local group.
  • Original Inquiry: Throughout my education at The Ohio State University, I hope to pursue research in the department of psychology possibly in the form of working on a research project carried out by a staff member or a student in the psychology graduate program here at the university.
  • Academic Enrichment: I plan to carry out academic excellence by continuously taking a rigorous course load and making sure that I maintain high grades in order to maintain an impressive GPA to better prepare myself for my future goal of entering graduate school.
  • Leadership Development: I plan to develop my leadership skills through taking initiative in the classroom by asking questions and participating in lecture, while also stepping up to be an example in the community by joining a student organization or an organization in Columbus that would allow me to work with children in the community, gaining experience for my future career as a child psychologist.
  • Service Engagement: I plan on joining a student organization, possibly bluefish, which is an on campus organization held at the RPAC where students help teach swim lessons to children within the Columbus community.
