Year in Review

This year I achieved a lot of my goals in terms of academic and social. I ran for E Board for the Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club and is now serving as the VP of Corporate Relations for BUCC. I’ve learned a lot through this position throughout the semester and will continue to serve as VP of Corporate Relations for BUCC next semester as well. I also joined the social fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon, where I made countless friends and memories that will last a life time. By joining a social fraternity and a professional fraternity at the same time, I can really see the difference between the two and the benefits of being active brothers for both professional fraternity and social fraternity. Also, I want to working in the consulting industry after graduation in San Francisco. To pursue that goal, I made sure I do my best t0 network with the companies that I want to work for after graduation. I have been going to office hours for EY, Deloitte, and others. I have also had multiple informational interviews with professionals that work at EY, Deloitte, PwC, and others. I learned a lot about the company cultures and values. I also learned a lot about me throughout the interview process because I got to spend a lot of time with myself to really think about what kind of person I am. This year has been a really successful year at the Ohio State University. I have really developed my professional and social skills at the same time through actions that I described above. I look forward to continue improving myself and become a better person every day for the rest of my life. Next semester I want to make more friends as my college career is coming to an end closer that you would expect. With only two years left at the Ohio State University, I strive to not only make myself a better person but help others around me to become better as well.

Career

I want to be a consultant after graduation, preferably a technology consultant. I am a information systems major, which is perfect for the technology consultant position. To achieve that goal, I am currently involved with the Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club and information systems association to help me to gain a deeper understanding of the technology consulting industry. In the long run, I want to become an entrepreneur and have my own company to operate.

Artifacts

I am currently pledging Delta Sigma Pi on campus, it has helped me to develop friendships, professional skills, and networking skills as well. The people you meet within the chapter really help you to get to know more industries and more cultures as well. For example, I have met people working for the big four accounting firms which is what I want to work for in the future. Those are all good connections that I can utilize in the future and great friendships to have too.
