Caption: For human resources consultants,  it’s better to have more conversations with the managers.

The jobs that recommended to me are all about analysts. I picked Program Analyst and Consultant, Human Resources(HR). According to the website, the works for human resources consultant is to find ways to improve relationships between the company and employee, increase retention, and grow overall staff satisfaction in general. The duties for human resource consultants are ranging from establishing recruiting practices to analyzing hiring procedures to producing systems that track employee performance. Human resource consultants often assist managers with the hiring process, training them to create effective, targeted job ads, and develop a screening system for potential employees. They often guide managers through the interview process, ensuring that the final candidate is an excellent fit for the position. As for program analysts, they are responsible for design, code, and test new programs. Their duty is to document programs written by them. Program analysts also are required to customize computer programs that were bought from vendors to meet their organization’s specific needs. The salary for the Program Analyst is about $64000 and for Consultant, Human Resources(HR) is about $71500. These two jobs are of high job satisfaction, low job stress, and high job meaning. However, I don’t think these are good choices for me since I’m not good at analysis. Especially, a program analyst is required to be skilled at the computer. Using a computer is my weakness. What I know about the computer are only surfing the internet and WPS software. Human resources consultants need to work with the managers or the boss. I’d like to work in a team with team members rather than work with senior managers. These jobs require management and operation major and my current major in arts management. Although they share management in common, I prefer the arts. Arts management major focuses on arts businesses. The major targets arts organizations, museums, art galleries instead of all big companies. Recommended jobs target on a larger field than art. It’s hard for me to get these jobs if I just study my current major. These two jobs are all required for the management and operation major. Besides, more females in these jobs than males. Their difference reflects the requirement for experience. To work as a program analyst, you need to have more than five years of experience. But for human resources consultants, your work experience should more than eight years. The salary of the two jobs is pleasing. But if the salary can be higher that will be better. In my perspective, pleasing work experience is more important than the salary. As far as I’m concerned, there is a chance of making a better salary with more experience or education. Experiences and education level are the treasures for people. The employers care about if you are rich in these treasures. Tow jobs are at a high level of satisfaction. The job satisfaction of human resources consultants is 78% and program analyst is 67%. I think the level of satisfaction is more important than the salary. For me, satisfaction has a great influence on the work efficiency. If the satisfaction is at a low level, it may be hard for me to focus on my job. I was surprised by the information on the Payscale. According to the Payscale, there are more female than male work as a program analyst. However, my previous cognition is that the amount of male programmers is more. I realized that I should earn more hard skills in order to target a lager work field.
