Learning collaboratives are groups of people across communities and sectors with shared interests and often lived experience working to improve and save lives impact by opioid use. LC’s are for networking and exchanging ideas with the goal is to provide a venue where communities can share and create solutions within their communities.

Safer Prescribing

In 2023, Dr. Theodore Parran, Co-Medical Director of Rosary Hall and several other SUD Treatment Programs in Northeast Ohio, presented a series of six sessions focusing on controlled drugs and safe prescribing principles gleaned from three decades of offering the remedial Intensive Course in Controlled Drug Prescribing. Subtopics include pain management, opioid and benzodiazepine pharmacology and withdrawal, maintenance of boundaries and safe patient selection, monitoring and patient interventions for problematic issues, and case discussions with Q&A and skill practices. The presentations are geared toward Physicians, Advanced Care Practitioners, Residents, Nurses, Technicians, Social Workers, and EMTs.
