Call for Abstracts GRS 2022

2022 Horticulture and Crop Science Graduate Research Symposium


The 2022 HCS Graduate Research Symposium (GRS) takes place on March 31st & April 1st, 2022 in the form of a Zoom Webinar.   

All students, staff, faculty, visiting scholars, and family within and outside the HCS department are invited to participate.

Only graduate students working for HCS faculty’s labs are eligible to participate in the Flash Talk Competition (Categories: Research and Proposal). Winners will receive monetary awards. Find the competition guidelines here.

HCS undergraduate students, post-docs, staff, and visiting scholars are welcome to present non-competition flash talks. 

Visit other pages on our website under the “Graduate Research Symposium” tab to review the schedule, competition guidelines, and rubrics. Points will be deducted for violations of the guidelines. 


If you are presenting a flash talk, please complete the registration form by Friday, February 18th, and submit your abstract by Friday, March 4th.


Judges Needed! – We are seeking faculty, staff, students, visiting scholars, and post-docs to serve as judges for the flash talk competition. If you are interested, please sign up in the registration form by Friday, March 4th, 2022.


For general attendance, please complete the registration form by Wednesday, March 30th. This will provide you access to the Zoom webinar.
