Columbus To-Do List: The Beginning

I have finally decided on the quest I will be going on this semester. The Nature and Outdoor Recreation list called to me as soon as I was perusing it and I knew that was the list for me. I am not sure which park has me the most excited but it is a close toss up between the Olentangy Trail and Hayden Falls Park. As a Columbus local, I have been to most parks around town; however, those two I have never visited for some reason. I will enjoy revisiting Franklin Park Conservatory as well as the Park of Roses. I hope that by the end of the semester, I can proudly say I have visited all the metro parks in the Columbus area. As I said previously, I have been to MANY parks during my long stay here in Columbus (about 18 years spent exploring all the green I can). I recently found myself visiting Dawe’s Arboretum with my closest friends…aka my parents. It was more beautiful than I expected! It was so green and welcoming. We walked around the arboretum randomly enjoying the slight breeze and bird calls. I would recommend everyone go and visit this nature oasis. Because I am an OSU student, I’ve been to Chadwick and the learning gardens many times. Dawes is at least three times larger than Chadwick. You could potentially get lost at Dawes…I may be speaking from experience.
