Career

My time at The Ohio State a been full of new experiences. While most have been positive ones, there have been a few that have taught me some important lesson I can carry with me throughout the rest of my college career and life. One of the most important so far that I have learned is time management. In high school, I had decent time management but nothing so far has compared to college. With no definite schedule and increased difficult in classes and workloads,  college has really made me adapt my time management skills

This is a picture from freshman year when I went to North Carolina with the tough mudder club for an obstacle course race. I had an amazing time in North Carolina with some amazing people. Tough mudder truly brings out the best in people, and I feel truly fortunate to be part of such a great group of people. They provide people with a positive outlet and a place to belong.

G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness:  To achieve this goal I plan to travel abroad to help those around the country and other cultures around the world. This year I have already helped out with team rubicon, an American non-government organization founded by U.S. Marines William McNulty with the purpose of providing relief to those affected by natural disasters. With the help of the rest of The Buckeye Tough Mudder club, we were able to raise over $500 towards the relief for hurricane Irma and Harvey.

Original Inquiry: To achieve this goal I plan to do undergraduate research. As of now, I do not know what I would like to research, but hopefully, exposure to new ideas and concepts in my future classes will give me a better understanding of what interests me. I also plan to look into an honors thesis paper, which would diversify me in the process of applying to med schools.

Academic Enrichment: To achieve this goal I plan to engage in as many enriching conversations, classes, and general opportunities as possible; and put my best effort into everything I set out to do in and out of the classroom. I also plan to take classes such as MEDCOLL 2000.21 and 2022, to better enrich and prepare me for the hopeful pursuit of med school.

Leadership Development: To achieve this goal I plan to continue in the participation of The Buckeye Tough Mudder club. Buckeye Tough Mudder club has truly provided an environment that builds both your individual and group strengths. Focused on responsibility, kindness, teamwork, and leading by example; The Buckeye Mudder club wants you to be the best individual you can be.  I also plan to pursue a leadership role in Buckeye Tough Mudder this coming semester.

Service Engagement: To Achieve this goal I plan to participate in the Red Cross club, the Pre-Health giving back club, and efforts done by the Buckeye Tough Mudder cub. With such a great opportunity here and the countless resources provided to me as a student, it only seems right to give back to those not as fortunate.
