Hi, my name is Payton Harvey and I am an aspiring first year at The Ohio State University. I am a part of the ACES scholars community because I have a strong passion for serving and volunteering my time with my community and other communities around me. I am a psychology major and hope to pick up a studio art minor soon. I chose psychology as a major because nothing interests me more than the innerworkings of the complex human mind and I hope to use my psychology education to someday become a licensed art therapist. Art therapy is a combination of my greatest passions: art, the human mind, and serving others. Some other things to know about me are that I love reading, running, and being outdoors. In high school I participated in clubs and sports that I really enjoyed. I worked at a local food pantry, joined the art club, ran cross country and track and field and also did cheerleading. Many of these activities still interest me and during my time at The Ohio State University I hope to join clubs like the running club, art clubs, and mental health awareness clubs. I am also excited to devote more time to community service with my scholars cohort.
