In order to show your horse at the Ohio State Fair, you must qualify in at least 2 classes at the PAS (performance against the standard) Qualifying Show. Members are allowed two opportunities to qualify by participating in 2 PAS shows anywhere in Ohio.
The Hardin County PAS show is Saturday, June 8 starting at 9:00 a.m. The show is rain or shine at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Hardin County youth do NOT need to pay class fees at this show, as we help pay for the judge. Registration is due May 15. Full details of the show can be found in the Allen, Auglaize, Hardin PAS Show Packet
A full list of PAS shows across the state is available here. Youth attending any PAS shows other than the Allen, Auglaize, Hardin show will need an Out-of-County form signed by the 4-H Educator. These are available at the OSU Extension Office front desk, Monday – Friday from 8:00 to 4:30.
All information, including rules and class patterns are available on the Ohio 4-H Horse website.
