Jinkook Lee is a professor at
the Ohio State University.  Before joining OSU, she worked for University of
Georgia, Athens and University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Her specific research
expertise lies on consumer behavior in financial market and the elderly.  Her
current research interests include decision making under risk, particularly,
savings/investment and intergenerational wealth transfer decisions.  Her current and
previous consulting experience includes Federal Reserve Board, the Federal
Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Credit Union National Association, the Center for
Credit Union Research, American Association of Retired Persons, and the State of
Florida.  She has published extensively: over 80 publications include academic
journals (i.e., Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Public Policy &
Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Marketing Management Journal,
Financial Services Review, Journal of Business and Economic Studies
, etc.),
monographs, and book chapters.  She has made over 70 professional presentations
at regional, national, and international meetings.  She has received a number of
honors and awards, including: Applied Consumer Economics Award by
American Council on Consumer Interests; Certified Financial Planning Board’s
Best Article Award
; The Jefferson Prize, Chancellor’s Research Award
by the University of Tennessee; and The New Leader Award by the Ohio
State University. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Seoul National
University, Korea.  She received an MS and a doctoral degree from the Ohio State
University.
