1997 FERM/FRHD Preconference Airfares

Airfare suggestions

Suggestions from Joyce Jones
If you don’t plan to stay over a Saturday
night — or even if you do — some people might
find it MUCH cheaper to fly into Baltimore/
Washington rather than National in DC. Then
you take a Super Shuttle (bus/van) to DC.
I’ve done it — it adds a little time to the trip,
but could save a lot.

For example, I just checked into going to DC
for a Monday-Wednesday meeting next month:

Flying into National, without Sat. night stay, from

Manhattan, KS, US Air = $919

Flying into National, with Sat. night stay, from

Manhattan, KS, US Air = $350

Flying to Baltimore/Washington (no Sat. night
stayover required, i.e. no price difference), from

Manhattan, KS, US Air = $229
