year. Conferences include consumer and/or family economics research papers
and posters, addressing theoretical, methodological, pedagogical, and policy
issues in consumer and family economics areas as they apply in an

Third Biennial
Meeting, July 1999: Seoul, Korea
The third biennial meeting of the Asian Consumer and Family Economics
Association was held in Seoul, Korea, on July 7-9, 1999. It included consumer
and/or family economics research papers and posters, addressing theoretical,
methodological, pedagogical, and policy issues in consumer and family economics
areas as they apply in an Asian context. Papers accepted
for presentation were published in the Proceedings of the 1999 Meeting.
The meeting was cosponsored by the Department of Consumer Sciences and
Retailing at Purdue University in the U.S. and the
Department of Consumer Studies and Resource Management at Seoul National
University in Korea.
