Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. About Me

Hello, I am Philip Hangen (but everyone calls me Phil).  I graduated high school out of the Columbus City School District at Centennial high school. I graduated valedictorian in my class with an unweighted GPA of a 4.0. In high school, I participated with the National Honor Society in the various endeavors we pursued such as a Blood Drive and a pennies for patients drive in which the main incentive was having a Teacher get pied at the next assembly. I also participated in our high school drama club where I was the head of sound. I worked to help keep the actors on stage sounding nice and struggled to get mics off them when they were talking to the audience after a successful show.

I am currently a freshman, Computer and information science major at The Ohio State University. After trying one semester of being an architecture major I discovered that the career path was not right for me, so I decided to switch to what has always been my passion since I have been little, computers. I have always loved computers and working with them for a career could quite possibly be a dream come true. On my journey through discovering even more about computers, I hope to be able to discover which of the numerous specializations offered by the major fits what I want for the rest of my life. I, however, plan to make use of the university’s grand selection of classes and professors to explore as many areas of study as I can to be educated on as many foreign concepts to me as possible. I am excited to see where my next four years of education will take me, and who knows where I will end up?
