About Me

This photo was taken before move in day.

Hello everyone! My name is Zoe Halpern, and I am a first-year student at The Ohio State University. I will be studying Marketing, and hopefully International Business, with a minor in Jewish Studies. I am from Cleveland, Ohio, and I attended an all-girls school called Laurel School. I decided to come to Ohio State because I knew I wanted a large school–with tons of school spirit– and Ohio State had the best business school of any of my options. Also, both of my parents attended Ohio State, so there may have been some pressure from them as well. In high school, I held many leadership positions at school such as being a tour guide, student government representative and Yearbook editor. Outside of school, I was very involved with the Cleveland Jewish community, especially through volunteer work and BBYO (an international youth group for high school students).

This is me in Venice last year on my school’s art history trip!

Two of my favorite things to do are to watch Ohio State football and travel! One of the highlights of my first semester as a Buckeye was driving with my friends to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship game. Ever since I was little, my parents and I have traveled all over the country for Ohio State games such as the Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, to the school up north and to New Orleans when we beat Alabama. One of my main goals for my four years at Ohio State is to take advantage of some of its study abroad opportunities. I would love to intern in Tel Aviv next summer!

I love Sushi! Highly recommend 1126 Restaurant and Sushi Time for all you can eat sushi.

Here’s me and my friend’s dog in Bowen!
