An example of leadership that I have seen relating to sports is the actions and leadership of one of my high school football teammates, Danny Logan. Danny showed his leadership in many ways as the year progressed. Danny was an extremley hard-worker who would do anything to improve the team and uplift his teammates. Also he had a great attitude and brought a positive energy that helped improve the team. Personally, Danny was a huge leader and mentor to me. When Danny was a senior I was a sophomore and he easily could have just focused on himself and the things that he needed to do to improve. However Danny decided to help me and the other players out in ways such as teaching us new techniques, helping us learn plays and giving us positive encouragement. This helped all of us younger players gain confidence which helped us improve and make the team better as a whole. Danny Logan displayed leadership to me by working extremely hard and giving off a good example on and off the field, while also investing in and helping the younger players which improved the team as a whole.
