Hale Labbies shine at Midwest Microbiome Symposium!

Tessa Cannon featured ground-breaking work on field-friendly methods testing for SIV in wild and captive sooty mangabeys using saliva swabs.

Zach Lewis shared a poster demonstrating how urine sample volume impacts urobiome profiles. Zach also chaired a fantastic Trainee Career Panel that featured (Left to right): Drs. Zakee Sabree, Dubraska Diaz-Campos, Lexie Blalock, Andrea McConnell, and Seth Faith.

Vanessa Hale headed the Steering Committee that planned the Midwest Microbiome Symposium: Creating and responding to change. Heather Curtis (below left), Associate Project Manager with the Center of Microbiome Science, also played a major role in planning and this symposium wouldn’t have happened without her!

There was amazing science all around, and lots of fun too! (Below: Vanessa Hale and Audra Crouch)
