Week 4 (September 19)

In today’s session, you will complete a series of focused assessments: Work Interest, Personality, Leisure, Values, and Skills. You need not prepare anything in advance of our session–but you will need to bring your iPad or laptop (not just your phone) to our session to complete the surveys.

These assessments (the results of which you will be invited to share in our session) are intended to continue our conversation on personal values in Week 2. In fact, one of the assessments takes up values again–so it will be a familiar exercise–but one that might also offer interesting insights into your values card activity.

DURING OUR SESSION:

Please go to https://onpace.osu.edu/ to access the assessments.

Once there, click on the log in button:

We will complete the first two assessments separately, taking breaks between them to share with partners. Here’s the overall plan?

  1. Begin with the Work Interest Assessment (5-10 minutes). We’ll follow with a brief sharing and discussion.
  2. Next, complete the Personality Assessment (10 or so minutes). Share with a new partner.
  3. Complete the remaining three assessments (10-15 minutes) and choose three that align with the highest number of your assessments and that sound interesting (even if you don’t plan to pursue them).  Click through to those careers and read a bit about them.

We will also spend a bit of time outlining the remainder of the term and identifying dates for a group outing.

Please also complete the survey you’ll find here.
