In August of 2019, my student government chapter’s executive team-which I was part of- at Hamilton High School hosted a Leadership day. The purpose of this day way to organize a day full of presentations, guest speakers, team bonding, and sharing what we learned at the LEAD Conference that March. In the duration of this day, I was able to speak about social media and how we can use it as a positive tool to promote fundraisers and bring people together. This day was significant towards my development as a leader. After this day I was able to view tasks and obstacles differently, as my eyes were opened in the aspect of goals and ways to solve problems. After this day, I also believe in the power of teamwork and why it is so much more effective than working alone. Alone from the different things that everyone shared about leadership that day that I learned, I was also able to witness first hand how leadership and teamwork can benefit and impact every one of us.
