Young Enterprise UK is a non-profit organization that allows students in the Sixth Form (British equivalent of high school) create their own business start-up. As the company Secretary I co-managed a team of 13 students and completed all formal paperwork, including participation forms and financial agreements. In addition, I kept track of deadlines and overviewed the marketing strategy to prepare the team for fairs and competitions. That included designing prototypes of the company product and the marketing brochure included here.

The product received prize of “The Most Innovative Product of the Year” in the competition against other student start-ups.

Link to research paper: Glide Efficiency of Paper Airplanes Research

During my senior year at Bedford School I conducted an original research into the glide efficiency of origami paper airplanes. Attached is the paper I wrote to present the research methodology and findings.

The purpose of the research was to find an analytical method to evaluate and maximize the glide performance of a paper airplane. I designed a procedure in which I tested three different models in a wind tunnel and measure their lift and drag forces over a range of airspeeds and angles of attack. Based on the data, I determined the optimal flight regime for each model and predicted whether design changes could improve their glide efficiency. Using the findings, I extended the glide range of one paper airplane model.

The paper received praise from my school Physics teacher with engineering background as original and thorough.
