My first week at Ohio State was not exactly the experience I was expecting, but it quickly felt like home. I was worried I would feel homesick and miss my small town like crazy. Instead, I quickly became accustomed to the life of a college student. I able to leave my dorm and come back at any time, eat when was convenient for me instead of at set times, and become exposed to the types of diversity I was never able to experience in my hometown. My first week proved me wrong; I am far more resilient than I thought. Although I have only been here a short time, I truly feel like a member of the community. I now know the opportunities at this university are beyond anything I could have dreamed of. I plan on looking into student organizations to meet more friends who share the same interests as me.
[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation. An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.
