What is a BioBlitz?
It’s an event where volunteers identify as many species as possible in a set period of time on a specified piece of land. Generally, it takes place over a 24-hour period. This event provides information about what species are present in the ORWRP and where in the wetlands they can be found. It assists in continuing to track species diversity and populations in order to create an annual inventory of species present.
I’m interested in the May 2nd Bio Blitz and have just finished my OVCN certification! Would love to help. Saw the announcement on Facebook but don’t want to miss the details!
