End of year review: Sophomore Year

Looking back on the past two years so much has changed. Even looking back at my old “about me” section I have grown and developed so much as a person. I am halfway through my undergrad and have accomplished so much. I have survived gen chem and physics and bio as well as various GEs and while I do have to take Ochem, other than that all my classes pertain tony major which is very exciting. This summer I am beginning my first research position and I am very lucky to have found an opportunity in my home town. I have a leadership position in a campus organization and have improved my leadership, social, and organizational skills drastically. I have deepened relationships with friends and made some new ones along the way too. Looking back on my last two years I only look back with enjoyment and excitement for my next two years.

A few things this year that stick out to me was for one Buckeyethon. This year was my first time doing Buckeyethon and it was truly a great experience. Through various fundraising opportunities I was able to raise $400. The event itself was amazing and it felt great to be a part of something so big and for a good cause.

Leading Bio Sci intramurals was also enjoyable for me this year. I was the captain for both the flag football and volleyball teams. I am very grateful for the opportunity and it was fun to combine leadership opportunity with something I love so much, being sports. We even were runner up for the volleyball playoffs which was the end to a fun season.

Overall I am excited with where Scholars has taken me and I am thankful to be a part of such a great program. While my first two years may be over I am very excited for the next two years and will waste no time in making for memories as well as improving myself in a variety of categories. I have seen so much growth in myself the past two years and I am excited for the future growth I will have.

About Me

I, Connor Gregory, am going to be a freshman at THE Ohio State University in the Biological Sciences Scholar program and will be majoring in radiologic sciences and therapy. My plan is to follow a pre-med track and I wanted to pick a major other than biology or chemistry. I want to become a radiologist in the future so I thought this would be a helpful major but I may change it in the future. I am from Monclova Ohio which is a suburb outside of Toledo. This past spring I graduated from Anthony Wayne High School Summa Cum Laude. In high school I played baseball and was on the rowing team, which I was a captain sophomore, junior, and senior year. I enjoy staying active by playing sports casually or just going out for a run. I am a true die hard sports fan, especially with Ohio State football and basketball. I am also a fan of Ohio professional sport teams. I enjoy playing video games, playing cards, and just doing anything with friends too.
