Buckeye Badges

The Buckeye Badge program is a new concept for me but I see a lot of potential with this for future students. This is a great way to easily display accomplishments throughout college that one would normally not put in a resume. It doesn’t just have to be for classes I feel these would be good for student organizations and even with important positions held in those clubs. Along with using badges for clubs they could be used for outside class activities such as volunteering. I can definitely see the benefits of someone including their own personal badge page along with their resume when applying for an internship or full time job. This program does have the potential to even be used in the work force if. For example, if one completes a project at work they are very proud of they could make a badge which will go into further detail about their accomplishment. This could be helpful during interviews when being asked about previous work experience the badges could explain past projects. The only current issue I see with the badges is how late in my college career they were offered. If this program is required for incoming freshmen they can spend the rest of their time here acquiring badges.
