How to Participate

How do I get involved?

Our survey is open! Click here to email us to get more information and a link to our screener:

• The screener takes less than 5 minutes. This helps us to determine if you are eligible to participate.
• If you are eligible to participate, you will receive an invitation from Qualtrics to complete the full survey via email!
• Survey participants will be entered into a raffle. Participants have a 1 in 4 chance of receiving a $20, $50, or $100 electronic gift card via our partner, Virtual Incentives.
• If you choose to participate, please remember that you can skip or not answer any questions you are not comfortable answering.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for the study you must be part of the LGBTQ+ community, be 18 years old or older, and currently reside in either Franklin, Licking, Fairfield, Pickaway, Madison, Union, or Delaware counties.

Who are we?

This study is being conducted by a multi-disciplinary team of researchers at The Ohio State University, Columbus Public Health, and Franklin County Public Health who are subject experts on different aspects of sexual and gender minority (SGM) health and healthcare access. This LGBTQ+ health needs assessment will be the first formal evaluation of the Columbus metro area.

What is INSIGHT?

The primary objective of the Greater Columbus INSIGHT is to gather information from community members and leaders in the community to assess the strengths and weaknesses with regards to the health needs and access to healthcare of the LGBTQ+ community in the Columbus metro area.

What’s next?

Our goal is to collect surveys from over 1200 LGBTQ+ community members to identify strengths and needs about health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ community in the Columbus metro area. Results will be compiled and shared with participants, Community Advisory Board members, organizational partners, and the general public to inform efforts to improve health for all!
