Module 7: Keys to Motivation for Online Learning

Greetings readers! This is Madison from Madison’s Blog reporting for the last and final review. Today’s information will be based on ESEPSY 1159’s seventh module, Keys to Motivation for Online Learning. So, jumping right into the questions the most useful thing from module seven was learning about the different study environments such as physical, social, and online environment. At first you ask yourself why all of these may be important, but I’ll explain just vital it is. Physical? How do you feel? Can you focus on the task at hand for a decent amount of time? Are you sick? Or thinking about other things? These all would categorize as your physical environment. Now there is social, social would be what is going on around you such as friends and family. Last but not least what’s your online environment like? These are all questions you have to careful analyze and correct for your own improvement.

The next question is what is something from the module I already put into practice? I utilize motivational study music when completing important task to create a stress free environment. This helps me to relax and increase my focus to get the task at hand finished. My last question is, what advice would I give to others, based on what I’ve read or experienced? To others please remember to:

– Pay attention to what causes stress and change it out

-Learn to say no to distractions

-Exercise and sleep

– Stay on top of your mental health

In closing, these are all things that I found to be useful and important to me and wanted to share with you all as well to motivate you to be your best self. As always I will leave a helpful reference down below that was used in the module for you to dig deeper. This is your host Madison logging off..

Module 6: Searching and Research

Hello Readers! This is your host Madison with Madison’s Blog before we get into our regularly scheduled talk let me apologize to you all for pronouncing my OSU course title wrong in my audio recordings. My course is E-S-E-P-S-Y 1159. However, I’ll be sharing with you all what I found to be useful and more this week! This week’s most useful was learning how to narrow a topic when preparing to write a paper. I know personally that I find many great things to write about but it’s hard for me to just pick one and deepen the conversation. It often becomes my headache if you know what I mean but you have to ask yourself the right questions and take notes on your ideas. Things I already put into use when I start formulating my questions and many of you too, we begin to search! We ask people who may have been involved or we search the internet for answers as well because the more information we gather we not only improve our knowledge on the topic but we just add to the bigger picture. Lastly, for other students out there do realize that college writing and high school writing vary and are nothing alike. In high school we all are taught that our five paragraph papers are crucial and we tend to stand by that. We must reliable that in college we will and are expected to write more than what we were used to in high school and explain even more.

Module 2: Communicating and Collaborating

Hello readers! This is Madison from Madison’s Blog, today’s information is out of ESEPSY 1159’s second module. We will be focusing on the importance of Netiquette yes, you heard that right. Netiquette is born from two words internet and etiquette it simmers down to really mean common courtesy when in use of the internet. We constantly use the internet for many different purposes rather that be enjoyment, education, or work. Additionally, we have to communicate with others using the internet but, we must know how to interact appropriately. Some common rules that apply when communicating on the web are:

1. No name calling or threatening others.

2. Write in terms that everyone can understand.

3. Do not post items that you do not have rights to.

4. Remember what you post can be seen by everyone.

are some rules just to name a few. It is highly important to remember this information especially in a discussion board of any kind. If you get upset with another individual and result to name calling it does not reflect well on you. You could possibly lose a job, scholarship, etc. do to not showing proper behavior. Which leads me into remembering what you post online. You must think about what you say before you type it just as much as when you will say it because once the message is out the sin is committed my friend.

In all I think everyone should brush up on their Netiquette skills every once in a while to remember proper behavior while in use of the web. This aids in keeping respect not only for you and your material online but others as well.

Thanks for stopping by Madison’s Blog! You can find more information about today’s post below like today’s reference.
