Begin Setup

Begin the setup process for your ePortfolio, which will be hosted on The Ohio State University’s U.OSU website platform.

 

Sign up and log in to U.OSU:

  1. Visit U.OSU.EDU
  2. New users: click the Sign Up button and follow the prompts to sign up and agree to the terms and conditions. Returning users: click the Log In button.
  3. After completing the sign up and logging in with your Ohio State username and password, you will see a dashboard. Follow the next steps to create your ePortfolio website.

 

Create a new ePortfolio website:

  1. In the top menu above the dashboard, click My Sites.
  2. At the top of the My Sites page, click the Add New button.
  3. In the Site Name field, choose a URL (suggested: last name, first initial, then graduation year — ex: smithj2020).
  4. In the Site Title field, title your ePortfolio (required name: GO (Full Name.#) — see the GO Template for demonstration).
  5. Under Privacy, select either Public or Search Engine Blocked. This is required to avoid errors during the setup process. You will have the option to make access more restricted in later steps.
  6. In the Blog Category drop-down menu, select Student Sites.
  7. Click the Create Site button to complete the process and view your new site.
