MUSICIAN VISIT

Musician Visit with Ezé Wendtoin

Ezé Wendtoin, a musician from Burkina Faso who has been influential to the social and cultural developments in Germany and wider Europe, is coming to The Ohio State University in Spring 2018 (March 18-April 7). Ezé Wendtoin has dedicated his work as a musician to increasing the understanding of different cultures, performing his work in French, German and his native language Moore in Germany. As a solo artist and together with the Dresden musician collective “Banda Internationale” he has stood against racism and xenophobia through music in concerts, theater, social projects, and in his work as an educator and scholar of German Second Language Acquisition, especially in light of recent PEGIDA and AFD developments.

Co-sponsored by the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures (GLL), the Center for Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (CLLC), the Department of African American and African Studies (AAAS), the Migration Studies Working Group, the Department of Music and the Global Mobility Project.
