At 6:00 p.m., September 15, as usual, Global Engagement Night took place at 122 Oxley Hall. With delicious fruit and ice cream, buckeyes coming from all over the world gathered in this room and shared their impression about Ohio State Traditions. Several Ohio State traditions were discussed during the presentation. The Thompson Statue and pocket buckeyes can bring luck to students during their student life. Script Ohio, which is commonly known as TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band in the Land). O-H-I-O photos; buckeyes mimic the letters and often include landmarks and status as part of the formation. Carmen Ohio, when at the end of football home game, all buckeyes holding each other’s shoulders and sing Carmen together. And finally, the beat Michigan week; all of the M’s on campus are crossed out with red tape overnight.
