Milestone #4: Final Product and Presentation to Client

Students were asked to complete any feedback by April 11th, 2018.  Data on the reinforcement points includes students overall interaction times with the site and survey feedback. The data was compiled and presented to the client on April 13th, 2018.  The powerpoint presentation used when reporting out to the client can be viewed below.

The client was very happy with the results of the project. She found the modules easy to navigate and easy to implement. The results from my client satisfaction survey are below:

From Manager to Coach:

Overall, students had a positive opinion on the reinforcement points.  First, students overwhelmingly reported that the items in the Don’t Forget sections helped them recall the information from the one-day session.   The reflection questions were next in term of helping students remember the course content, followed by the Additional Information.  In terms of value, students rated the Additional Information sections the most valuable, followed by the reflection sections and the Don’t Forget sections.  Students spent an average of 12 minutes and 35 seconds on the site, across both courses.

The above findings give the client some options going forward.  The reinforcement points are a relatively low-cost addition to a product that currently has no way of engaging the audience after a one-day training.  Students with even the best of intentions, forget the learning as they get back into the daily responsibilities at work.  Again,  this is a relatively simple and low-cost way to help students to review the learning.  For a program that currently has no online options, the reinforcement points familiarize the target audience with online content and the university’s learning management system.

Reflection

Overall this project went pretty smoothly.  There were little hiccups as far as project completion.  Reporting out to the project contact was relatively simple and informal, although a presentation was prepared to give her a full overview of what was completed.  The project contact reported liking the product that was produced and plans to introduce the item into additional courses next year.   Additionally, some of the media assets created can be used in other programming.  For me, the process of completing this project was interesting.  I enjoyed figuring out how best structure content, but struggle with the fact that the content was pre-made.  Going forward, I would like to be involved with creating content from scratch and figuring out how best to implementing it online.
